The Exploitation of Raw Materials in Prehistory
This collection presents state-of-the-art approaches to the use of inorganic raw materials in the period known as prehistory. It focuses on stone-tools, adornments, colorants and pottery from Europe, America and Africa. The chapters intimately merge archaeology, anthropology, geology, geography, physics and chemistry to reconstruct past human behaviour, economy, technology, ecology, cognition, territory and social complexity. The book represents a framework of raw material investigation for those working in science, regardless of the time period, region of the world or materials they are studying.
International Conference on Use-Wear Analysis
The significance of use-wear studies in archaeological research plays an important role as a proxy to prehistoric techno-cultural reconstruction. The present volume, divided into five thematic sections, includes chapters discussing various different research methods, techniques, chronologies and regions. As such, this volume will be of interest to both archaeologists and anthropologists.
Cattle and People
This volume originates in a conference session that took place at the 2018 International Council of Archaeozoology conference in Ankara, Turkey, entitled "Humans and Cattle: Interdisciplinary Perspectives to an Ancient Relationship." The aim of the session was to bring together zooarchaeologists and their colleagues from various other research fields working on human cattle interactions over time. The contributions in this volume reflect well the breadth of work being undertaken on the ancient relationship between humans and cattle across the continents of Europe, Africa and Asia, and from the late Pleistocene to postmedieval period. Almost all involve the study of archaeological cattle remains and use different zooarchaeological methods, but the combination of these approaches with that of ethnography, isotopes and genetics is also featured. Una obra que aborda el debat sobre els enfocaments teòrics i metodològics i els resultats obtinguts de l’aplicació dels recursos abiòtics utilitzats com a matèries primeres en diferents contextos arqueològics i litològics de la península Ibèrica. S’hi analitzen els materials emprats, les àrees i modalitats de captació i la seua circulació.

Die International Bibliographiy of Historical Sciences verzeichnet jährlich die bedeutendsten Neuerscheinungen geschichtswissenschaftlicher Monographien und Zeitschriftenartikel weltweit, die inhaltlich von der Vor- und Frühgeschichte bis zur jüngsten Vergangenheit reichen. Sie ist damit die derzeit einzige laufende Bibliographie dieser Art, die thematisch, zeitlich und geographisch ein derart breites Spektrum abdeckt. Innerhalb der systematischen Gliederung nach Zeitalter, Region oder historischer Disziplin sind die Werke nach Autorennamen oder charakteristischem Titelhauptwort aufgelistet.

La excepción y la norma : las sociedades indígenas de la Costa Noroeste de Norteamérica desde la arqueología
Este trabajo ha sido llevado a cabo por un equipo de investigadores que han realizado un trabajo de campo sobre unas sociedades cazadoras-recolectoras, las fueguinas, en la Costa Noroeste de América del Norte. Estas sociedades al ser las más primitivas y más simples, sirven para explicar el cambio prehistórico hacia sociedades productoras de alimentos con diferenciación social horizontal. El estudio arqueológico se centró en la utilización de posturas teóricas cercanas al particularismo histórico para poner en crisis el evolucionismo unilineal y la caracterización universal de las sociedades cazadoras como las más primitivas asociaciones de bandas igualitarias.
