Computing and Combinatorics
The book is aimed at graduate students, researchers, engineers and physicists involved in fluid computations. An up-to-date account is given of the present state of the art of numerical methods employed in computational fluid dynamics. The underlying numerical principles are treated with a fair amount of detail, using elementary methods. Attention is given to the difficulties arising from geometric complexity of the flow domain. Uniform accuracy for singular perturbation problems is studied, pointing the way to accurate computation of flows at high Reynolds number. Unified methods for compressible and incompressible flows are discussed. A treatment of the shallow-water equations is included. A basic introduction is given to efficient iterative solution methods. Many pointers are given to the current literature, facilitating further study.
Formal Approaches to Software Testing
This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the Third International Workshop on Formal Approaches to Testing of Software, FATES 2003, held in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, on October 6th, 2003. The 18 revised full papers presented were carefully selected from 43 submissions during two rounds of reviewing and improvement. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the IFIP International Conference on Network and Parallel Computing, NPC 2004, held in Wuhan, China in October 2004. Algorithms and Computation
This volume is the proceedings of the fifth International Symposium on Algorithms and Computation, ISAAC '94, held in Beijing, China in August 1994. The 79 papers accepted for inclusion in the volume after a careful reviewing process were selected from a total of almost 200 submissions.
