The Philosophy of Ecstasy
Jalal al-Din Rumi (1207-73), founder of the Mevlevi Sufi order of “Whirling Dervishes,” is the best-selling poet in America today. The wide-ranging appeal of his work is such that UNESCO declared 2007 to be “International Rumi Year.” However, his writings represent much more than love poetry. Rumi was one of the preeminent thinkers of Sufism, the esoteric form of Islam. EXHIBITING “TURKISHNESS” AT A TIME OF FLUX IN TURKEY: AN ETHNOGRAPHIC STUDY OF STATE MUSEUMS
Through an ethnographic study of state museums in Turkey, this book explores the negotiation processes of exhibiting the competing pasts and binaries of “Turkishness”. The study focuses on Anıtkabir and Topkapı Palace Museum as two important state museums that represent the Republican and Ottoman pasts of Turkey. Tracing their contested exhibition making processes, it argues that binaries of “Turkishness” are not irreconcilable; rather they are deliberated, negotiated, and transformed in the everyday practices of museum bureaucracies.
Peopling the Landscape of Çatalhöyük
This volume reports on the ways in which humans engaged in their material and biotic environments at Çatalhöyük, using a wide range of archaeological evidence. This volume also summarizes work on the skeletal remains recovered from the site, as well as analytical research on isotopes and aDNA.

Çatalhöyük Excavations
This volume discusses the main excavations at Neolithic Çatalhöyük East undertaken from 2009 to 2017. The site is well known because of its large size, elaborate symbolism and wall paintings, and long history of excavation. This volume covers the last period of excavation directed by Ian Hodder in the North and South Areas of the site. Yerel Turistik Değerler
Ülkemiz açısından çok önemli bir çekim merkezi olan Konya yerel turistik değerleri ile uluslararası rekabet yaratacak verilere sahiptir. Biz bu kitapta ön lisans, lisans ve lisans üstü eğitim alacak öğrencilere ve sektör temsilcilerine yardımcı olacak yeni verilerle desteklenmiş bir çalışma sunmayı amaçladık. Bunu yaparken bitmiş her çalışma eksiktir düsturunu ilke edindik. Kitap Somut Kültürel Değerler ve Soyut Kültürel Değerler olmak üzere iki ana bölümden ve 17 alt başlıktan oluşmuş ve bir çok konu güncellenerek yeniden yazılmıştır. Kitapta özellikle Konya denildiği zaman Anadolu'da yerleşik hayatın ilk başladığı yer olarak bilinen Çatalhöyük, “Ne Olursan Ol Yine De Gel” diyen büyük düşünür Mevlana'nın müzesi ve dünyaca tanınan Nasrettin Hoca ile Konya'ya ait bir çok yerel değere yer verilmiştir. Bölüm yazarları değerli çalışmalarını bizlerle paylaşarak ülkemiz turizm literatürüne yeni bir eser kazandırmışlardır. Bu noktada emeği geçen değerli akademisyen arkadaşlarıma şükranlarımı sunarım.
