Up until a year ago Melinda Cooper was something of an outcast - a skinny, shy, introverted teenage girl with few interests and even fewer friends. Now she's the star player of her school's lacrosse team and counts the most popular girls in school as her allies. What's her secret? She's a werewolf. So are most of her friends. It's a long story. However, balancing a life of pep rallies and practice SATs with secret pack meetings and hunting trips has proven to be anything but easy. Things were complicated enough when she was the only lycanthrope in town. Now Melinda has to worry not only about her own welfare but that of her pack mates, some of whom resent her self-appointed leadership. Add a new romantic interest who has no idea his girlfriend grows fangs every full moon and an unwilling convert to lycanthropy with secrets of her own and you have a recipe for disaster. Adolescence has never been this wild.

Frisian Whitework

Delve into elegant Frisian whitework with historical whitework with 11 varied projects and expert instruction for left and right handed stitchers alike. From Friesland in the Netherlands, this is a style of counted embroidery dating from the 1600s, traditionally used on men’s shirt collars, on household linen, and on samplers. The style is known as Frisian whitework, but there can be touches of color, and some samplers are worked fully in color. Alphabets, figurative motifs and geometric shapes are common, and they are interpreted in a wide variety of stitches, such as satin stitch, eyelets, whipped back stitch, and chain stitch; some also with cutwork and drawn thread work. Randy Rosen is a confirmed womanizer and proud of it. In his mind, females are more fun, subtle, imaginative, and braver than men. Truth be known, he would rather explore women’s liminal and subliminal messages than sit in a smoky bar with a bunch of guys. Randy has not always been this way. He was once a shy honor student whose torrid teenage affair ended in catastrophic betrayal. Changed forever by his experience, Randy moves from college to build a successful, international business that allows him to travel worldwide and enjoy the biggest perk of all: meeting women as diverse as their countries. For many years, Randy pursues love and lust in some of the globe’s most exciting cities: London, Tokyo, Manila, Bangkok, and even Tel Aviv. But as his body begins to age, Randy is left to wonder whether he can keep up the chase. From sexual antics in exotic bedrooms and boudoirs to the intimacy and trust of deep relationships, Womanizer is a rollicking tale of one man’s adventures as he pursues—and is pursued by—women throughout the world.

The cemeteries of Winston County contain the ancestors of the descendants who populate the county. They contain the remains of the earliest settlers, Civil War soldiers, early county officials and politicians, merchants, tradesmen, farmers, and their familes. Without their successful efforts to carve an existence out of the Winston County wildnerness, the rest of us would not be here. Much of the history of the county was written on the old tombstones found across the county. Volume I of this two volume series alphabetically covers Winston County Cemeteries A through L beginning with the Addison Church of God Cemetery and ending with the Liberty Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. The book contains dozens of pictures of the cemeteries plus hundreds of annotations which include sites of unmarked graves mentioned in newspaper accounts plus the company and unit of every known Civil War era soldier, both Union and Confederate. The book concludes with a full name index.
