Threat modeling is one of the most essential--and most misunderstood--parts of the development lifecycle. Whether you're a security practitioner or a member of a development team, this book will help you gain a better understanding of how you can apply core threat modeling concepts to your practice to protect your systems against threats. Contrary to popular belief, threat modeling doesn't require advanced security knowledge to initiate or a Herculean effort to sustain. But it is critical for spotting and addressing potential concerns in a cost-effective way before the code's written--and before it's too late to find a solution. Authors Izar Tarandach and Matthew Coles walk you through vario...
Filled with practical, step-by-step instructions and clear explanations for the most important and useful tasks. A concise guide full of step-by-step recipes to teach you how to create CasperJS tests for your web development projects. This book will be extremely useful for web developers who are new to testing or who want to move from another testing solution to CasperJS. It is assumed that you are familiar with web development and have a good knowledge of JavaScript.
Karst landscapes are home to 25 percent of the world's drinking water supplies, and in many countries water supply is highly dependent on karst aquifers. Their unique structures, containing many voids, are a particular problem for building corporations and land developers. This book, written by the well-known karstologist Eric Gilli, presents

The first volume devoted entirely to Electron Spin Echo Envelope Modulation (ESEEM) Spectroscopy This valuable book provides an introduction and broad survey of topics in ESEEM spectroscopy, including the theory, instrumentation, peculiarities of ESE experiments, and analysis of experimental data with particular emphasis on orientationally disordered systems. Applications of ESEEM spectroscopy to study chemically and biologically important paramagnetic centers in single crystals, amorphous solids, and powders are discussed as well. Electron Spin Echo Envelope Modulation (ESEEM) Spectroscopy will benefit specialists in magnetic resonance spectroscopy, physicists, chemists, and biologists who use magnetic resonance in their research.
The reprocessing of nuclear spent fuel generates highly radioactive liquid wastes (HLW) that must be isolated from the biosphere in very durable solid matrices. In the first part of this book, generalities are presented on the radionuclides occurring in HLW and on the main characteristics and preparation methods of waste forms (glasses, ceramics, glass-ceramics) for the immobilisation of separated or non-separated wastes. In the second part, the characteristics of two categories of long-lived radionuclides (135Cs and minor actinides Np, Am, Cm) and the main matrices proposed for their specific immobilisation are reviewed. Results are presented on ceramic and glass-ceramic matrices developed for the conditioning of Cs (hollandite) and minor actinides (zirconolite, zirconolite-based glass-ceramic) and studied in the authors' laboratory.
