Implementasi model pembelajaran PME dapat menjadi jawaban untuk tantangan tersebut.
PENGANTAR DASAR STATISTIKA BERBASIS MASALAH
Modul ini disusun berdasarkan kerangka kerja pemecahan masalah. Di mana disajikan masalah serta scaffolding berupa masalah-masalah rutin yang membantu peserta didik untuk menyelesaikan masalah utama. Selain pemecahan masalah, modul ini juga bermuatan penalaran statistis sehingga dengan belajar menggunakan modul ini penalaran peserta didik akan terlatih. Buku ini berisikan materi dasar statistika yaitu pengertian statistika, macam-macam data, pengumpulan data, penyajian data serta ukuran data. Materi- materi tersebut dipelajari mulai tingkat SMP, SMA, maupun perguruan tinggi. Untuk lebih mempermudah mempelajari materi statistika dasar, modul ini menyajikan uraian materi, contoh soal, latihan soal, serta tes formatif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep. Tujuan penulisan modul ini adalah agar pembaca secara mandiri dapat mempelajari materi statistika dasar serta mampu memahami konsep-konsep yang ada pada statistika sehingga peserta didik tidak lagi mengalami hambatan belajar dan hanya mengetahui prosedur saja tetapi mengetahui maknanya juga.
