**WINNER OF THE LONDON HELLENIC PRIZE 2019** 'Alice Oswald is at the height of her powers in...this electrifying new work' Observer This is a book-length poem - a collage of water-stories, taken mostly from the Odyssey - about a minor character, abandoned on a stony island. It is not a translation, though, but a close inspection of the sea that surrounds him. There are several voices in the poem but no proper names, although its presiding spirit is Proteus, the shape-shifting sea-god. We recognise other mythical characters - Helios, Icarus, Alcyone, Philoctetes, Calypso, Clytemnestra, Orpheus, Poseidon, Hermes - who drift in and out of the poem, surfacing briefly before disappearing. This book tells the story of the first permanent artwork, Diamonds and Circles, in the UK by the renowned artist Daniel Buren (born 1938), widely considered France's greatest living artist and one of the most significant contributors to the conceptual art movement. Commissioned by Art on the 'Underground', Buren has created a new permanent installation at Tottenham Court Road station in the center of London, famously the location of extensive 1980s mosaics by Eduardo Paolozzi. The artwork, which is set to be completed in late 2016, will become a major feature of the two new entrances and ticket hall of the redesigned station. A conversation between Buren and Tim Marlow walk the reader through the Tottenham Court Road installation and discuss it alongside his other public transport works, while a text by Hans Ulrich Obrist places the work in the context of Buren's wider practice since the 1960s. More than a rare monograph in English on one of the most influential international artists of recent decades, this volume also takes the reader on the fascinating journey from initial artistic concept through to realized physical form in the public realm.

A combination of economic development, improved education, increased access to safe water, and improved basic health programs has enabled Honduras to improve the health status of its population over the last three decades—an accomplishment of which the country can be justly proud. This paper examines the achievements of the Honduran health sector and discusses the challenges that need to be faced to modernize public sector financing, to improve public sector service provision, and to develop an appropriate policy and regulatory framework for pharmaceuticals and social security.

Released in 1969, the film Battle of Britain went on to become one of the most iconic war movies ever produced. The film drew many respected British actors to accept roles as key figures of the battle, including Sir Laurence Olivier as Hugh Dowding and Trevor Howard as Keith Park. It also starred Michael Caine, Christopher Plummer and Robert Shaw as squadron leaders. As well as its large all-star international cast, the film was notable for its spectacular flying sequences which were on a far grander scale than anything that had been seen on film before. At the time of its release, Battle of Britain was singled out for its efforts to portray the events of the summer of 1940 in great accuracy...

Education is a basic condition for economic and social development. Working in conjunction with the National Primary Education Commission, the World Bank supported consultations among teachers, parents, educational administrators, and community leaders to develop a strong foundation for primary education in Nigeria. The innovative work documented in this publication illustrates the potential not only for partnership between the users and providers of primary education but also between the World Bank and its clients.

Ghana

"Ghana is an extremely diverse country-ethnically, culturally, ecologically, and economically. Women and men play different roles, undertake different activities, and face different constraints. Gender-based differences in their activities and practices result from... existing gender inequalities. Because these gender differences are often fundamental to men and women's livelihoods, understanding them is essential to designing policies and projects that will effectively reduce gender inequalities and promote sustainable development." A growing body of literature indicates that reducing gender inequalities and increasing women's access to productive resources greatly improves both welfare and...
