This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Human Haptic Sensing and Touch Enabled Computer Applications, EuroHaptics 2008, held in Madrid, Spain, in June 2008. The 119 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 150 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on control and technology, haptic perception and psychophysics, haptic devices, haptics rendering and display, multimodal interaction and telepresence, as well as haptic applications.
Photonics, a volume in the Interface Transmission Tutorial Book series, describes the science of photonic transmission properties of the interfaces of composite materials systems and devices. The book's authors review the general analysis methods of interface transmission, give many examples, and apply these methods to photonic applications. Applications discussed include photonic crystals, materials, devices and circuits. - Offers a unique approach on photonics from the interfacial transmission point-of-view - Reviews the interface transmission properties of composite materials for photonics applications - Authored by world-leading experts on interface transmission
This book includes papers presented at the Second International Conference on Electronic Engineering and Renewable Energy (ICEERE 2020), which focus on the application of artificial intelligence techniques, emerging technology and the Internet of things in electrical and renewable energy systems, including hybrid systems, micro-grids, networking, smart health applications, smart grid, mechatronics and electric vehicles. It particularly focuses on new renewable energy technologies for agricultural and rural areas to promote the development of the Euro-Mediterranean region. Given its scope, the book is of interest to graduate students, researchers and practicing engineers working in the fields of electronic engineering and renewable energy.
This book constitutes the proceedings of the conference on Haptics: Generating and Perceiving Tangible Sensations, held in Amsterdam, Netherlands in July 2010.
Resonance: Long-Lived Waves, a new volume in the Interface Transmission Tutorial Book series, introduces long-life resonance properties for telecommunications. The book's authors review the general analysis methods of interface transmission, giving many examples and applying these methods to telecommunications systems (materials and devices). Each chapter introduces and defines the long-lived resonances, their path states and phase shifts, and applications. This book is suitable for materials scientists and engineers in academia and R&D, and may also be appropriate for applied physicists. - Offers a unique approach on long-lived transmission resonance from an interfacial transmission point-of-view - Provides tutorial examples to aid in the design of new materials and devices for telecommunications applications - Authored by world-leading experts on interface transmission
This book includes papers presented at the 3rd International Conference on Electronic Engineering and Renewable Energy (ICEERE 2022), which focus on the application of artificial intelligence techniques, emerging technology and the Internet of things in electrical and renewable energy systems, including hybrid systems, micro-grids, networking, smart health applications, smart grid, mechatronics and electric vehicles. It particularly focuses on new renewable energy technologies for agricultural and rural areas to promote the development of the Euro-Mediterranean region. Given its scope, the book is of interest to graduate students, researchers and practicing engineers working in the fields of electronic engineering and renewable energy.
The Symposium brought together many of the world’s experts in fluid mechanics, microfabrication and control theory to discover the synergy that can lead to real advances and perhaps find ways in which collaborative projects may proceed. The high profile meeting was attended by keynote speakers who are leaders in their fields. A key driver was the improvement in flow efficiency to reduce drag, and thereby emissions arising from transport. About 65 papers were presented.
« Separation flow Control » The conception of aeronautic system or road vehicle faces challenging issues such as: prediction of receptivity modes generated by the actuation, development of optimal and robust control, closed loop, conception of micro-scale actuators and sensors, optimal use of energy conversion, establishment of measure fast estimation process, To address these issues, a better understanding of underlying physics and related interactions are needed."
The two-volume set LNCS 9774 and 9775 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 10th International Conference EuroHaptics 2016, held in London, UK, in July 2016. The 100 papers (36 oral presentations and 64 poster presentations) presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 162 submissions. These proceedings reflect the multidisciplinary nature of EuroHaptics and cover topics such as perception of hardness and softness; haptic devices; haptics and motor control; tactile cues; control of haptic interfaces; thermal perception; robotics and sensing; applications.
The compilation of this book has been made possible with the help of Didier Cassereau, Bertrand Dubus and John Fritsch with support from the Scientific and Technical Committee of 2015 ICU.
