This 2 volume-set of IFIP AICT 583 and 584 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 16th IFIP WG 12.5 International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Applications and Innovations, AIAI 2020, held in Neos Marmaras, Greece, in June 2020.* The 70 full papers and 5 short papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 149 submissions. They cover a broad range of topics related to technical, legal, and ethical aspects of artificial intelligence systems and their applications and are organized in the following sections: Part I: classification; clustering - unsupervised learning -analytics; image processing; learning algorithms; neural network modeling; object tracking - object detection systems; ontologies - AI; and sentiment analysis - recommender systems. Part II: AI ethics - law; AI constraints; deep learning - LSTM; fuzzy algebra - fuzzy systems; machine learning; medical - health systems; and natural language. *The conference was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This book publishes the best papers accepted and presented at the 3rd edition of the International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Systems for Sustainable Development Applied to Agriculture, Energy, Health, Environment, Industry, Education, Economy, and Security (AI2SD’2020). This conference is one of the biggest amalgamations of eminent researchers, students, and delegates from both academia and industry where the collaborators have an interactive access to emerging technology and approaches globally. In this book, readers find the latest ideas addressing technological issues relevant to all areas of the social and human sciences for sustainable development. Due to the nature of the conference with its focus on innovative ideas and developments, the book provides the ideal scientific and brings together very high-quality chapters written by eminent researchers from different disciplines, to discover the most recent developments in scientific research.
This book gathers the refereed proceedings of the Artificial Intelligence and Industrial Applications (A2IA’2020), the first installment of an annual international conference organized by the ENSAM-Meknes at Moulay Ismail University, Morocco. The 30 papers presented here were carefully reviewed and selected from 141 submissions by an international scientific committee. They address various aspects of artificial intelligence such as smart manufacturing, smart maintenance, smart supply chain management, supervised learning, unsupervised learning, reinforcement learning, graph-based and semi-supervised learning, neural networks, deep learning, planning and optimization, and other AI applications. The book is intended for AI experts, offering them a valuable overview of the status quo and a global outlook for the future, with many new and innovative ideas and recent important developments in AI applications, both of a foundational and practical nature. It will also appeal to non-experts who are curious about this timely and important subject.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 16th International Conference on Ad-hoc, Mobile, and Wireless Networks, ADHOC-NOW 2017, held in Messina, Italy, in September 2017. The contributions were organized in topical sections named: internet of things; security; smart city; ad-hoc networks; implementations and validations; wireless sensor networks; data management; wireless systems.
Today’s society can no longer function without information technology. Essential infrastructure including the transportation system, banking, the entertainment industry, the health care system, government, the military and the education system can no longer survive without modern technology. This increasing dependence on information technology creates new opportunities for the benefit of society. However, it also opens an avenue that can be exploited for illicit purposes. The stakes are high and many attacks go undetected or unreported. In addition to losses such as data or other forms of intellectual property, financial theft or the shut down of infrastructure, computer security attacks t...
This book highlights the latest research in the fields of health care and agriculture, presented at the second installment of the International Conference on Advanced Intelligent Systems for Sustainable Development (AI2SD-2019), held on July 08–11, 2019 in Marrakech, Morocco. Gathering contributions by respected researchers in the field of agriculture, the book is intended to stimulate debate in this field, and proposes new solutions, tools and effective techniques concerning various current topics in the field of agriculture, such as ICT, IoT and big data analytics for agriculture, smart systems for plant productivity, and data analytics of socio-economic dimensions for sustainable agricu...
In this present internet age, risk analysis and crisis response based on information will make up a digital world full of possibilities and improvements to people’s daily life and capabilities. These services will be supported by more intelligent systems and more effective decisionmaking. This book contains all the papers presented at the 4th International Conference on Risk Analysis and Crisis Response, August 27-29, 2013, Istanbul, Turkey. The theme was intelligent systems and decision making for risk analysis and crisis response. The risk issues in the papers cluster around the following topics: natural disasters, finance risks, food and feed safety, catastrophic accidents, critical infrastructure, global climate change, project management, supply chains, public health, threats to social safety, energy and environment. This volume will be of interest to all professionals and academics in the field of risk analysis, crisis response, intelligent systems and decision-making, as well as related fields of enquiry.
Investigating in the area of perovskite materials and the fabrication of devices for properties in optoelectronics, we have presented a brief outline of perovskite materials. The authors present a fairly comprehensive arrangement of this very active area of research, with its past changes and present position and outlooks. Discussions are presented regarding photocatalysis, fabrication of solar cell devices and their stability, lead-free materials, as well as thermoelectric and piezoelectric applications. In view of the present status of perovskite materials, I am assured that each chapter of the book will be of boundless encouragement for researchers, scientists, and academicians working in this field.
