Adolf Holl hat viele Berufe: Priester, Gelehrter, Prophet, Ketzer, Schriftsteller, Provokateur und Erotiker. 1930 in Wien geboren und 1954 zum Priester geweiht, brachte ihn sein internationaler Bestseller "Jesus in schlechter Gesellschaft" (1971) in Konflikt mit der katholischen Kirche. In Folge wurde ihm die Lehrberechtigung entzogen und er wurde vom Priesteramt suspendiert. Holl hat durch seine geistreichen, aber nicht kirchenkonformen Fragestellungen große Bekanntheit erreicht. Harald Klauhs, ein fundierter Kenner von Holls Werk, hat nun eine Biografie über diesen wilden Denker geschrieben: Holls Leben als Parforceritt durch die abendländische Geistesgeschichte und zugleich ein Sittenbild der Zweiten Republik.
