The Human Security Paradigm: Challenges & Opportunities
In an era marked by unprecedented global challenges, the concept of human security has emerged as a significant framework for rethinking traditional approaches to security. Historically, security was almost exclusively understood in terms of state sovereignty, military capacity, and territorial protection. However, as the world has become more interconnected, with transnational threats becoming more complex, there has been a growing recognition of the need to move beyond the state-centric, militarized definition of security.
