Wie können sich Studierende innerhalb eines Seminars die drei Kompetenzen Schreiben, Teamfähigkeit und interkulturelle Kompetenz gemeinsam erarbeiten? Die Herausgeberinnen stellen ein zur Adaption geeignetes Seminarkonzept vor, mit dem sich diese nicht nur für das Studium relevanten Schlüsselkompetenzen in der Lehre umsetzen lassen. Ausgangspunkt ist ein zweijähriges Modellprojekt mit interkulturellen Schreibteams. Im Praxisteil dieses Buches reflektieren Projektmitarbeitende und Studierende die einzelnen Komponenten des Seminarkonzepts hinsichtlich ihrer Umsetzung und Ergebnisse. The GDR no longer exists, but people continue to live ruined lives. The same is true for Eduard, a former political prisoner who, more than thirty years after the reunification of Germany, cannot free himself from the horrors of life in the GDR. His journey has included failed love, being stalked by the Stasi, imprisonment, and a dysfunctional family life. When he meets a novice writer at an airport, he suggests to her that his life could be a good subject for her new book. Anna is interested in working with him, but she also has plenty of doubts, since this man clearly has an aversion to women. What is more, Eduard imposes his own terms…

The ever-growing need for learning, especially English language becoming lingua franca, has created a huge challenge for teachers of English. There have been many conceptions of a teacher`s role and the work they perform, however, these notions do not constitute a perfect model of a teacher as an educator of many young generations living in the changing world. The thesis consists of eight chapters that describe the reforms of Polish educational system in the context of teacher's and student's work. It also presents some general considerations devoted to the issue of educational process including training, motivating, controlling, organizing and self-educating in the era of globalization.
