This conference serves as a means of presenting and discussing various research results among academics, researchers, and practitioners in the fields of statistics, analytics, computing, data science, and its application. Based on 110 papers that have been presented there are three main topics as the focus of the discussion, namely Statistical Modeling, Predictive Analytics, and Pattern Learning. The approach is in the form of a study to obtain a valid methodology for extracting, collecting, storing, analyzing, and visualizing data including those derived from big data. The application studies cover various fields such as agriculture, climate, energy, industry, business, social, and so on. The Islamic Traditions of Cirebon
This work deals with the socio-religious traditions of the Javanese Muslims living in Cirebon, a region on the north coast in the eastern part of West Java. It examines a wide range of popular traditional religious beliefs and practices. The diverse manifestations of these traditions are considered in an analysis of the belief system, mythology, cosmology and ritual practices in Cirebon. Disrupting Dark Networks
Disrupting Dark Networks focuses on how social network analysis can be used to craft strategies to track, destabilize and disrupt covert and illegal networks. The book begins with an overview of the key terms and assumptions of social network analysis and various counterinsurgency strategies. The next several chapters introduce readers to algorithms and metrics commonly used by social network analysts. They provide worked examples from four different social network analysis software packages (UCINET, NetDraw, Pajek and ORA) using standard network data sets as well as data from an actual terrorist network that serves as a running example throughout the book. The book concludes by considering the ethics of and various ways that social network analysis can inform counterinsurgency strategizing. By contextualizing these methods in a larger counterinsurgency framework, this book offers scholars and analysts an array of approaches for disrupting dark networks.
