Tindak pidana korupsi merupakan perbuatan yang bukan saja dapat merugikan keuangan negara, akan tetapi juga dapat menimbulkan kerugian perekonomian masyarakat secara luas. Kejahatan korupsi yang berkembang di Indonesia sangatlah memprihatinkan. Bahkan korupsi sudah bukan menjadi hal yang tabu ditemui, khususnya di lingkup pemerintahan. Maka wajar bila muncul stigma masyarakat terkait “pemerintahan yang kotor”. Tidak hanya pemerintahan tingkat daerah, namun sudah melangkah ke tingkat pemerintahan pusat. Salah satu upaya terbaik untuk memberantas korupsi ini adalah dengan upaya pencegahan. Upaya pencegahan dimaksudkan untuk menahan agar tindak korupsi tidak dilakukan. Upaya pencegahan korupsi membutuhkan adanya kerjasama dari berbagai pihak.
