Arthur Kenneth (A.K.) Chesterton was a soldier, journalist and activist whose involvement with fascist and extreme right-wing politics in Britain spanned four decades. Beginning with his recruitment to Oswald Mosley’s ‘Blackshirts’ in the 1930s, Chesterton’s ideological relationship with fascism, nationalism and anti-Semitism would persist far beyond the collapse of the interwar movements, culminating in his role as a founder of the National Front in 1967. This study examines Chesterton’s significance as a bridging figure between two eras of extreme right activity in Britain, and considers the ideological and organizational continuity that existed across the interwar and post-war periods. It further uses Chesterton's life as a means to explore the persistence of racism and anti-Semitism within British society, as well as examining the political conflicts and tactical disputes that shaped the extreme right as it attempted to move ‘from the margins to the mainstream’. This book will appeal to students and researchers with an interest in fascism studies, British political history, extremism and anti-Semitism.

This booklet was compiled from two leading articles in Candour in April 1961, and was reprinted in booklet format in May 1961. 'The Twelfth Hour' contains a remarkably honest analysis of the weaknesses - as well as the strengths - of the Candour-League movement. Then as now, there was a desperate need for the majority of supporters to either become more active, or to provide the funds necessary for the survival of our movement and nation. 'Tomorrow' is the plan on how Britain could adapt to the loss of Empire and rally around the white dominions. This idea, long dormant, and seemingly abandoned by today's establishment, has seen some interest in the media recently, and may come again should Britain escape the shackles of the European Union.

As ever more people emerge from the prolonged state of lethargy to find the old familiar world destroyed, the once cherished values scorned, the signposts to what had seemed an assured national future obliterated, they ask in bewilderment: "What is behind it all?" Jolted into an awareness of mysterious forces at work causing universal confusion and chaos, their next question swiftly follows: "Who is behind it all?" The New Unhappy Lords endeavours to answer both questions, revealing much of the secret history of our times and exposing the conspiracy which shapes that history to dragoon mankind into a One World dictatorship. The New Unhappy Lords is essential reading for patriots brave enough to face harsh facts and fight for the sovereign independence of their countries against the immense might of their internationalist enemies.

The Story of the Family

"The disintegration of rational society started in the drift from the hearth and the family", wrote G. K. Chesterton in 1933. "The solution must be a drift back." In a world that has lost touch with normality, it takes a pioneer to rediscover the wonders of the normal. This masterful compilation of texts and quotes from the prolific G. K. Chesterton, edited by Dale Ahlquist, illustrates the glory of the family—the heritage of romance, love, marriage, parenthood, and home. It is a hymn in praise of the saucepan, the kettle, the hairbrush, the umbrella stand, what Chesterton calls "the brave old bones of life". With piercing wit, the English writer pits all these venerable truths against the fashions of divorce, contraception, and abortion, along with the troubling philosophies that have afflicted education and the workplace since the early twentieth century. Society is built on the family, in all its unglamorous beauty, and Chesterton helps readers to see this reality with fresh eyes. As he writes:"The first things must be the very fountains of life, love and birth and babyhood; and these are always covered fountains, flowing in the quiet courts of the home."
