Algebraic Geometry for Coding Theory and Cryptography
Covering topics in algebraic geometry, coding theory, and cryptography, this volume presents interdisciplinary group research completed for the February 2016 conference at the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IPAM) in cooperation with the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM). The conference gathered research communities across disciplines to share ideas and problems in their fields and formed small research groups made up of graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, junior faculty, and group leaders who designed and led the projects. Peer reviewed and revised, each of this volume's five papers achieves the conference’s goal of using algebraic geometry to address a problem in either coding theory or cryptography. Proposed variants of the McEliece cryptosystem based on different constructions of codes, constructions of locally recoverable codes from algebraic curves and surfaces, and algebraic approaches to the multicast network coding problem are only some of the topics covered in this volume. This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 14th International Workshop on Post-Quantum Cryptography, PQCrypto 2022, held in College Park, MD, USA, in August 14–18, 2023. The 25 full papers presented in this book were carefully reviewed and selected from 51 submissions. Higher Genus Curves in Mathematical Physics and Arithmetic Geometry
This volume contains the proceedings of the AMS Special Session on Higher Genus Curves and Fibrations in Mathematical Physics and Arithmetic Geometry, held on January 8, 2016, in Seattle, Washington. Algebraic curves and their fibrations have played a major role in both mathematical physics and arithmetic geometry. This volume focuses on the role of higher genus curves; in particular, hyperelliptic and superelliptic curves in algebraic geometry and mathematical physics. Arithmetic, Geometry, Cryptography and Coding Theory
This volume contains the proceedings of the 17th International Conference on Arithmetic, Geometry, Cryptography and Coding Theory (AGC2T-17), held from June 10–14, 2019, at the Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques in Marseille, France. The conference was dedicated to the memory of Gilles Lachaud, one of the founding fathers of the AGC2T series. Since the first meeting in 1987 the biennial AGC2T meetings have brought together the leading experts on arithmetic and algebraic geometry, and the connections to coding theory, cryptography, and algorithmic complexity. Modern Theory of Dynamical Systems
This volume is a tribute to one of the founders of modern theory of dynamical systems, the late Dmitry Victorovich Anosov. It contains both original papers and surveys, written by some distinguished experts in dynamics, which are related to important themes of Anosov's work, as well as broadly interpreted further crucial developments in the theory of dynamical systems that followed Anosov's original work. Also included is an article by A. Katok that presents Anosov's scientific biography and a picture of the early development of hyperbolicity theory in its various incarnations, complete and partial, uniform and nonuniform.
