Il Museo del Gioiello di Vicenza - l'unico esempio in Italia interamente dedicato al gioiello - si rinnova ogni due anni: privo di collezioni permanenti, propone nei suggestivi spazi della Basilica Palladiana mostre biennali di gioielli unici ed esclusivi. Per il terzo biennio dalla sua inaugurazione, il museo ospita 310 pezzi di inestimabile valore, esposti in nove sezioni tematiche curate da altrettanti esperti di fama internazionale. Il catalogo, nel presentare i capolavori di questa esposizione, accoglie i contributi dei curatori che, lontano dai consueti criteri museali di classificazione cronologica o stilistica, restituiscono la complessità del gioiello attraverso molteplici punti di vista, dove l'antico dialoga con il contemporaneo e i capolavori del passato affiancano quelli realizzati con le tecnologie del futuro.
