This book provides the basis of a formal language and explores its possibilities in the characterization of multiplex networks. Armed with the formalism developed, the authors define structural metrics for multiplex networks. A methodology to generalize monoplex structural metrics to multiplex networks is also presented so that the reader will be able to generalize other metrics of interest in a systematic way. Therefore, this book will serve as a guide for the theoretical development of new multiplex metrics. Natural Diversity in the New Millennium

A obra aborda o tema da criação do Conselho Nacional de Justiça, sua competência para o controle administrativo dos tribunais e sua evolução decorrente da transição da administração burocrática para a administração gestora. Considerando a vocação do Estado para aplicação do princípio da boa governança, iniciando-se um novo modelo de gestão que irá influenciar todo o serviço público, o trabalho analisa os pressupostos jurídicos balizadores para a incorporação do modelo referido no Poder Judiciário, cujo órgão central para sua concretização é o Conselho Nacional de Justiça, responsável pelo aprimoramento do serviço de justiça. Analisa-se também os fatores juridicamente determinantes que embasam a ideia de um órgão central administrativo com poder normativo primário para regular matéria processual em benefício da eficiência e do aprimoramento da tutela jurisdicional, verificando-se a vocação do Conselho Nacional de Justiça, e da administração da justiça como um todo, para a gestão da competência nos tribunais, inclusive como ferramenta de solução para conflito de competência no processo coletivo.
