This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the 15th International Workshop on Theoretic Foundations of Computer Vision, held as a Dagstuhl Seminar in Dagstuhl Castle, Germany, in June/July 2011. The 19 revised full papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected after a blind peer-review process. The topic of this Workshop was Outdoor and Large-Scale Real-World Scene Analysis, which covers all aspects, applications and open problems regarding the performance or design of computer vision algorithms capable of working in outdoor setups and/or large-scale environments. Developing these methods is important for driver assistance, city modeling and reconstruction, virtual tourism, telepresence, and motion capture.
The sixteen-volume set comprising the LNCS volumes 11205-11220 constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 15th European Conference on Computer Vision, ECCV 2018, held in Munich, Germany, in September 2018.The 776 revised papers presented were carefully reviewed and selected from 2439 submissions. There is a gap in the existing literature as to why the New Left in West Germany entered a phase of rapid decline by the end of the 1070s. The overarching aim of this thesis is to offer a politico-theoretical explanation for the historical development of the New Left and why the 'red decade' between 1967 and 1976/77 ended so abruptly. Within this context, the thesis will focus on the Maoist K-Gruppen and particular emphasis will be placed on the Marxistische Gruppe., which defied the general decline of West Germany's New Left and developed into its largest organisation during the 1980s. Alternative treatment modes for antibiotic-resistant bacterial pathogens have become a public health priority. Bacteriophages are bacterial viruses that infect and lyse bacterial cells. Since bacteriophages are frequently bacterial host species-specific and can often also infect antibiotic-resistant bacterial cells, they could represent ideal antimicrobials for fighting the antibiotic resistance crisis. Economic development and growth depend on a country’s young people. With most of their working life ahead of them they make up about a third of the working-age population in the typical emerging market and developing economy. But the youth in these economies face a daunting labor market—about 20 percent of them are neither employed, in school, nor in training (the youth inactivity rate). This is double the share in the average advanced economy. Were nothing else to change, bringing youth inactivity in these economies down to what it is in advanced economies and getting those inactive young people into new jobs would have a striking effect. The working-age employment rate in the average emerging market and developing economy would rise more than 3 percentage points, and real output would get a 5 percent boost.

One of the most important and challenging problems in control is the derivation of systematic tools for the computation of controllers for constrained nonlinear systems that can guarantee closed-loop stability, feasibility, and optimality with respect to some performance index.
