This book introduces the Eora, Global Trade Analysis Project (GTAP) and World Input-Output (WIOD) databases and provides detailed metadata on the data sources, database structures and construction techniques used to build each system. It offers a detailed account of how multi-regional input–output (MRIO) databases are used to calculate consumption-based accounts – guiding the reader through each mathematical step and explaining the associated equations. It demonstrates that different MRIO databases calculate different national level consumption-based CO2 accounts. If these results are to be used as evidence in climate policy-making, analysts need to be confident about the accuracy of the...

This study reconstructs the political origins of English women's poetry between the execution of Charles I and the death of Queen Anne. Based on extensive archival research in England and the United States, Barash argues that ideas about women's voices and women's communities were crucial to the shaping of an English national literature after the civil wars. Women entered print culture--as poets and as women--by situating their writing in defence of embattled monarchy. In particular, Barash points to women poets' fascination with the figure of the female monarch (both real and mythic). Their sense of poetic legitimacy derives from the communities they generate around figures of female authority, particularly James II's second wife, Mary of Modena, and later Queen Anne. Writers discussed include Aphra Behn, Katherine Philips, Anne Killigrew, Jane Barker, and Anne Finch.

Reading We Live Forever is like watching the trees grow green in springtime. It lifts the spirit, and it lifts our awareness of the world beyond the senses. These case histories, many of which have made headlines, are discussed with care and compassion by two well-known and gifted clairvoyants/healers. Despite the seriousness of their work, covering a vast range of clients from princesses to police inspectors, gangland figures and four-footed friends, their story is refreshingly and compellingly told in a memoir full of unforced self-awareness and gentle humour. It's also a very practical and, in Anne's words, 'down to earth' book. Perhaps we have Peter's love of classic cars and their inter...
