This book constitutes the thoroughly refereed post-proceedings of the Second International Workshop on Reconfigurable Computing, ARC 2006, held in Delft, The Netherlands, in March 2006. The 22 revised full papers and 35 revised short papers presented were thoroughly reviewed and selected from 95 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on applications, power, image processing, organization and architecture, networks and communication, security, and tools.
This monograph, divided into four parts, presents a comprehensive treatment and systematic examination of cycle spaces of flag domains. Assuming only a basic familiarity with the concepts of Lie theory and geometry, this work presents a complete structure theory for these cycle spaces, as well as their applications to harmonic analysis and algebraic geometry. Key features include: accessible to readers from a wide range of fields, with all the necessary background material provided for the nonspecialist; many new results presented for the first time; driven by numerous examples; the exposition is presented from the complex geometric viewpoint, but the methods, applications and much of the motivation also come from real and complex algebraic groups and their representations, as well as other areas of geometry; comparisons with classical Barlet cycle spaces are given; and good bibliography and index. Researchers and graduate students in differential geometry, complex analysis, harmonic analysis, representation theory, transformation groups, algebraic geometry, and areas of global geometric analysis will benefit from this work.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 7th International Symposium on Reconfigurable Computing: Architectures, Tools and Applications, ARC 2011, held in Belfast, UK, in March 2011. The 40 revised papers presented, consisting of 24 full papers, 14 poster papers, and the abstracts of 2 plenary talks, were carefully reviewed and selected from 88 submissions. The topics covered are reconfigurable accelerators, design tools, reconfigurable processors, applications, device architecture, methodology and simulation, and system architecture.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 6th International Workshop on Systems, Architectures, Modeling, and Simulation, SAMOS 2006, held in Samos, Greece on July 2006. The 47 revised full papers presented together with 2 keynote talks were thoroughly reviewed and selected from 130 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on system design and modeling, wireless sensor networks, processor design, dependable computing, architectures and implementations, and embedded sensor systems.
Coverage in this proceedings volume includes DNA and string processing applications, reconfigurable computing hardware and systems, image processing, run-time behavior, instruction set extension, as well as random number generation and financial computation.
This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 5th International Workshop on Applied Reconfigurable Computing, ARC 2009, held in Karlsruhe, Germany, in March 2009. The 21 full papers and 21 short papers presented together with the abstracts of 3 keynote lectures were carefully reviewed and selected from about 100 submissions. The papers are organized in topical sections on FPGA security and bitstream analysis, fault tolerant systems, architectures, place and route techniques, cryptography, and resource allocation and scheduling, as well as on applications.
Networks of today are going through a rapid evolution and there are many emerging areas of information networking and their applications. Heterogeneous networking supported by recent technological advances in low power wireless communications along with silicon integration of various functionalities such as sensing, communications, intelligence and actuations are emerging as a critically important disruptive computer class based on a new platform, networking structure and interface that enable novel, low cost and high volume applications. Several of such applications have been difficult to realize because of many interconnections problems. To fulfill their large range of applications differe...
In 1993, a quirky California boy named Beck burst onto the scene with the irony warped anthem "Loser." He has since earned a reputation as one of the most innovative, stylish, and vital recording artists of our time -- selling millions of records in the United States alone, heading up numerous Album of the Year lists, and taking home a few Grammys and MTV spacemen. This insightful portrait explores Beck's unorthodox childhood, his rise to fame, and his impact on the landscape of contemporary music. When Odelay hit shelves in the summer of 1996, it was clear this eccentric young man was a musical force to be reckoned with. Born Bek David Campbell in 1970 to a Warhol Superstar mother and a blu...
