Through a grant provided by the Las Cruces Public Schools Foundation, Arrowhead Park Early College High School establishes its own student publishing house with Letters to a Young Freshman as its first project. The project, "APECHS Pays It Forward: Advice for Life," grew out of classroom readings of Ranier Maria Rilke's Letters to a Young Poet. Using Rilke's wise words and philosophy as a guide, students developed letters and essays that offer advice to new students coming into APECHS. The advice offered in the enclosed letters and essays apply not only to new Trailblazers entering APECHS, but also apply to personal growth and development as human beings, becoming participants in the examined life.

Gen Richards is done being “the helpless blind girl.” Resurrecting her high-school bucket list that begins with “kiss a total stranger” seems just the thing...until she finds herself in a panty-melting lip lock with her big brother’s adrenaline-junky best friend. Chance Anderson thrives on adrenaline, but Genny’s the one risk he’s won’t take. His recklessness a decade ago landed her in the hospital and ejected him from her life. He’s bad for her and everyone knows it—especially her big brother. Chance reluctantly helps Gen complete her bucket list in order to keep her out of trouble. But running through a freezing fountain, playing spin the bottle while fending off a mad horde of stinging insects, and skinny dipping with homicidal attack swans don’t hold a candle to the real danger: falling for the one person he can never have. Each book in the Anderson Brothers series is a standalone, full-length story that can be enjoyed out of order. "England, 1605: A terrorist plot to assassinate King James I and blow Parliament to kingdom come with 36 barrels of devilish gunpowder! Shagspeare (after a contemporary spelling of the Bard's name) is commissioned by Robert Cecil, the prime minister, to write the "true historie" of the plot. And it must have witches! The King wants witches! But as Shag and the acting company of the Globe, under the direction of the great Richard Burbage, investigate the plot, they discover that the King's version of the story might, in fact, be a cover-up. Shag and his actors are confronted with the ultimate moral and artistic dilemma. Speak truth to power-and perhaps lose their heads? Or take the money and lie? Is there a third option-equivocation? A high-stakes political thriller with contemporary resonances, EQUIVOCATION gallops from the great Globe to the Tower of London to the halls of Parliament to the heart of Judith, Shag's younger daughter, who finds herself unexpectedly at the very heart of the political, dramatic and-ultimately-human mystery." - from publisher's website.
