As dimensões do direito à moradia
O presente livro é fruto de uma pesquisa que analisou as interfaces entre mulher, direito à moradia e habitação de interesse social, a partir do diálogo entre a pesquisa empírica e a análise doutrinária e, nesse sentido, dedicou-se a analisar um recorte territorial, através de coleta de dados etnográficos junto às mulheres do projeto de construção habitacional de interesse social denominado Novo Bairro, como também da análise descritiva etnográfica do Município de Santa Rita, no Estado da Paraíba, Brasil, e do bairro Marcos Moura, onde o referido projeto habitacional estava se desenvolvendo. Dessa forma, busca-se identificar as variadas dimensões, significados, conceitos e ações envolvendo a representação do direito à moradia naquela comunidade e na cidade, especialmente, sob a ótica das mulheres do referido projeto. Sendo relevante mencionar sobre a dimensão do próprio direito à cidade, nesse contexto em que muitos conflitos evidenciam um processo dialético entre o sistema jurídico brasileiro e a realidade vivenciada pelas mulheres e pela própria comunidade.

The main goal of the University of Brasilia Journal of Law and Regulation (in Portuguese, Revista de Direito Setorial e Regulat�rio) is to put together high quality legal analyses and interdisciplinary researches on relevant sectors of the economy focused on regulation. We invite authors to submit papers on any relevant sector, such as but not limited to education, health, financial system, transportation, natural resources, energy, telecommunications, and R&D. We also accept papers focused on regulatory approach from the viewpoint of administrative law, environmental law, antitrust law, labor law, tax law, consumer protection and urban law.
New Technologies in Public Administration
Research on the relationship between technology dynamics and Public Administration (PA) began some years ago and was inspired by the realization that technological development has produced a far-reaching interaction with PA. It is emphasized how technological development and PA influence each other, as investments are managed by public agencies. There are some branches of PA that heavily rely on technology for their activities; such as the defense sector, the space agencies, the agencies for environmental protection, and those that are responsible for food control and safety and so on. Some technological advancements have found fertile ground in PA. The impact of technologies such as ICT or space technologies on PA is from a political and social point of view the most important. The adoption of such technologies can make it possible to offer more services to citizens. The adoption of new technologies can also enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the bureaucratic apparatus and can even influence positively the mechanisms of political representation.
