Joint external evaluation of the International Health Regulations (2005) core capacities of Armenia

During the JEE mission in early December 2023, capacities in 19 technical areas for Armenia were evaluated through a peer-to-peer, consultative process that brought a multi-sectoral group of national subject matter experts together with the multi-national, multi-disciplinary JEE team for a week of discussion, collaboration, and field visits. This process led to consensus on scores and priority actions across the 19 technical areas. Armenia’s commitment to strengthening its IHR core capacities is evident from the decision to undertake a second JEE. Since the first JEE was conducted in August 2016, Armenia has worked hard to develop and improve its public health capabilities and capacities. ...

The Chronicles of Arax Book Three

"You are not alone, son of Lore, Yah reassured me, lifting my spirit. 'Twas then he revealed my brothers, brothers not of blood, but of spirit, who would stand by my side to contest Tyro's dominion. You, Terin, are one of my true brothers, sent by Yah in our time of greatest need. Your birth was foretold long ago, long before King Vantor II of the Middle Kingdom revealed the prophecy of the one to find the lost Sword of the Moon. Your birth was foretold long before the rise and fall of ancient Tarelia. Your birth was revealed to Kal himself before he fell in battle, a divine vision from Yah to his most faithful servant. You are his only descendent, his line dying or living through you and yo...

City folk pass through one stop light towns often not understanding their charms. They shudder to think of ever living in such a hick address, away from the glitter, glamour, and sophistication of the American metropolitan sprawl. Surprisingly, while rural America is an endangered species, the people that dwell there face many of the same joys and heartaches as city folk. Only the context is changed. In the Snare of the Fowler is a reminiscence of life beyond the stoplight. The stories of the people-at Little League games, Easter Sunrise Services, funerals, high school graduations, county fairs-shed endearing light on life in our small towns. A city-dweller tells these remembrances when by a great surprise he became a parish pastor in just such a town. Rather than being horrified by the tiny dot on the map, he fell in love with the people, and the life in a one-stoplight town.
