When I started my professional career I was told I was tenacious. I had to look up the definition. Determined or stubborn: tending to stick firmly to any decision, plan or opinion without changing or doubting it. The last few years I have been anything but tenacious. I tried one thing, if it didnt work, I immediately changed course and looked for another viable option. My heart goes out to parents who may find themselves in a similar situation. I had the background. I had resources. More than that, I had an undeniable fear. Fear that my kids would be lost in a world that didnt understand, nor WANTED to understand. Not everyone can function in our educational infrastructure and how dare anyone pass judgment and say they are inferior in any way. My lesson: to not be afraid of the mandates of this society. This is the true story of a mom, protecting her children, and learning that their true purpose is to not only protect me, but everything else as well. I am again tenacious; for all that is Indigo.

"Gorman's writing is strong, fast, and sleek as a bullet. He's one of the best." —Dean Koontz Senator David Cummings is a revered senior statesman who has sent many blessings back to his home state. District Attorney Amy McGuire owes her career in large part to Cummings's patronage. But when a teenage girl is brutally murdered and suspicion falls upon Amy's irresponsible younger brother, Richie, the senator has his own reasons for seeing that Richie is convicted of the crime. Amy finds her loyalties torn, and her career in jeopardy, as she struggles to get to the bottom of the crime. She thought she knew all the people in her life, but now she can trust only her instincts. “Gorman has a wonderful writing style that allows him to say things of substance in an entertaining way.” —San Francisco Examiner “One of the best of today's crime writers.” —The San Diego Union-Tribune

Where Time Goes

The time is 1970, A Day In The Life, and what a difference this day will make in the lives of the Griffin family. They, of course, have no knowledge of this, preoccupied by the past and ambivalent about the future. They are also amazed that, with their innate eccentricities, they have not died out. In "Where Time Goes," a saga for and about Misfits, the richness and mystery of daily life unfolds in unexpected ways, testing dreams, beliefs, bonds. An intricately embroidered cloth, the Griffins watch the unraveling of their lives, feeling its texture leaving their grasp. In the process, the reader is left waiting as well, held in suspense, to see what, if any, new durable fabric will form.

The Next Everest

A dramatic account of the deadly avalanche on Everest—and a return to reach the summit. On April 25, 2015, Jim Davidson was climbing Mount Everest when a 7.8-magnitude earthquake released avalanches all around him and his team, destroying their only escape route and trapping them at nearly 20,000 feet. It was the largest earthquake in Nepal in eighty-one years and killed nearly 8,900 people. That day also became the deadliest in the history of Everest, with eighteen people losing their lives on the mountain. After spending two unsettling days stranded on Everest, Davidson's team was rescued by helicopter. The experience left him shaken, and despite his thirty-three years of climbing and se...
