Current Trends and Approaches in the Comprehensive Evaluation of Coronary Artery Disease
Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) is a global health concern with high prevalence, morbidity and mortality rate. This Editorial initiative is focused on the current diagnostic approaches in the comprehensive assessment of CAD including anatomic and functional evaluation of the whole coronary circulation. Authors are encouraged to focus on the latest advancements in research across the field of invasive and non-invasive methods for evaluation of epicardial CAD and coronary microvascular disease. To address the growing population of CAD patients, new diagnostic methods and approaches are being investigated in order to achieve better clinical outcomes and symptom alleviation in this population. The goal of this Research topic is to offer a broad overview of the current diagnostic methods, to shed light on the unmet clinical needs and provide directions for new research topics.
Ornamental Crops
Ornamental plants are economically important worldwide. Both growers and consumers ask continuously for new, improved varieties. Although there are numerous ornamental species, ornamental plant breeding and plant breeding research is mainly limited to some major species. This book focuses on the recent advances and achievements in ornamental plant breeding. The first part of the book focuses on plant traits and breeding techniques that are typical for ornamental plants. Eminent research groups write these general chapters. For plant traits like flower colour or shape, breeding for disease resistance and vase or shelf life are reviewed. General technical plant breeding chapters deal with mutation breeding, polyploidisation, in vitro breeding techniques and new developments in molecular techniques. The second part of the book consists of crop-specific chapters. Here all economically major ornamental species are handled together with selected representative species from different plant groups (cut flowers, pot plants, woody ornamental plants). In these crop-specific chapters, the main focus is on recent scientific achievements over the last decade.

Electrochemistry of N4 Macrocyclic Metal Complexes
This new edition describes the state of the art regarding metal complexes of N4-ligands, such as porphyrins and phthalocyanines. Volume 2 focuses on the electro assisted use of N4 complexes as biomimetic models for studying several biological redox processes. It focuses on molecular oxygen transport and catalytic activation to mimic monooxygenase enzymes of the cytochrome P450 in particular. It also examines N4 complexes’ use as catalysts for the oxidative degradation of various types of pollutants (organo-halides, for example) and residual wastes. The remarkable activity of these complexes towards a large number of significantly relevant biological compounds makes them excellent candidates as electrode modifiers for electrochemical sensing. This volume also discusses applications of N4 Macrocyclic Metal Complexes to photoelectrochemistry and photocatalysis, and concludes with an exciting section on Electrosynthesis of N4.

The fields of application are vast, such as, materials science, life sciences and applied engineering. Both mathematical modeling and experimental aspects of IRT are evenly discussed in this book.
