Many countries are seeking to reach an effective universal health coverage system to increase the quality of life of their citizens. By implementing universal health coverage, countries can support all citizens, including those who do not have the financial power to pay for healthcare services, in receiving the necessary medical treatment to enable them to live healthier lives. Multidimensional Perspectives and Global Analysis of Universal Health Coverage is an essential reference source that defines the significance of universal health coverage and studies multiple concepts related to universal health coverage that can support qualified recommendations for governments seeking to improve their healthcare situation. Featuring research on topics such as financial risk, organizational performance, and patient safety, this book is ideally designed for policymakers, hospital executives, government officials, lawmakers, politicians, academicians, students, and researchers.

Two-dimensional Navier-Stokes Heat Transfer Analysis for Rough Turbine Blades

A quasi-three-dimensional thin-layer Navier-Stokes analysis was used to predict heat transfer to rough surfaces. Comparisons are made between predicted and experimental heat transfer for turbine blades and flat plates of known roughness. The effect of surface Toughness on heat transfer was modeled using a mixing length approach. The effect of near-wall grid spacing and convergence criteria on the accuracy of the heat transfer predictions are examined. An eddy viscosity mixing length model having an inner and outer layer was used. A discussion of the appropriate model for the crossover between the inner and outer layers is included. The analytic results are compared with experimental data for both flat plates and turbine blade geometries. Comparisons between predicted and experimental heat transfer showed that a modeling roughness effects using a modified mixing length approach results in good predictions of the trends in heat transfer due to roughness. Turbine, Heat transfer, Rough surface.

Solutions Manual and Computer Programs for Physical and Computational Aspects of Convective Heat Transfer

This book is designed to accompany Physical and Computational Aspects of Convective Heat Transfer by T. Cebeci and P. Bradshaw and contains solutions to the exercises and computer programs for the numerical methods contained in that book. Physical and Computational Aspects of Convective Heat Transfer begins with a thorough discussion of the physical aspects of convective heat transfer and presents in some detail the partial differential equations governing the transport of thermal energy in various types of flows. The book is intended for senior undergraduate and graduate students of aeronautical, chemical, civil and mechanical engineering. It can also serve as a reference for the practitioner.

Physical and Computational Aspects of Convective Heat Transfer

This volume is concerned with the transport of thermal energy in flows of practical significance. The temperature distributions which result from convective heat transfer, in contrast to those associated with radiation heat transfer and conduction in solids, are related to velocity characteristics and we have included sufficient information of momentum transfer to make the book self-contained. This is readily achieved because of the close relation ship between the equations which represent conservation of momentum and energy: it is very desirable since convective heat transfer involves flows with large temperature differences, where the equations are coupled through an equation of state, as ...
