This textbook investigates the linkages between energy-commodities markets, financial markets and the economy and incorporates different aspects of the energy market, organizing the relevant material in two distinct parts. Part one includes studies that relate to the impact of developments in the various energy-commodities markets (e.g., oil, gas) both on financial markets and economic growth, including studies that consider the impact of energy prices on financial markets or the effect on specific macroeconomic variables, such as interest rates, inflation, GDP. Part two discusses developments in the energy market from a climate change or green financing point of view, further considering issues that relate to climate finance, green investing, as well as policy making relating to GHG Emissions. Sediment Transport
The purpose of this book is to put together recent developments on sediment transport and morphological processes. There are twelve chapters in this book contributed by different authors who are currently involved in relevant research. First three chapters provide information on basic and advanced flow mechanisms including turbulence and movement of particles in water. Examples of computational procedures for sediment transport and morphological changes are given in the next five chapters. These include empirical predictions and numerical computations. Chapters nine and ten present some insights on environmental concerns with sediment transport. Last two contributions deal with two large-scale case studies related to changes in the transport and provenance of glacial marine sediments, and processes involving land slides.

The Institutionalisation of Evaluation in Asia-Pacific
This book examines the progress of institutionalisation of evaluation in Asia Pacific from various perspectives. It presents prior developments and current states of evaluation in 11 countries, focusing on three dimensions, namely the political, social and professional systems. These detailed country reports, which have been written by selected researchers and authors of the respective countries, lead to a concluding comparison and synthesis. This is the third of four volumes of the compendium The Institutionalisation of Evaluation. The first volume on Europe was published in 2020, and the second volume on the Americas in 2022. It will be followed by another volume on Africa. Cholera Outbreaks
The most feared attribute of the human pathogen Vibrio cholerae is its ability to cause outbreaks that spread like wildfire, completely overwhelming public health systems and causing widespread suffering and death. This volume starts with a description of the contrasting patterns of outbreaks caused by the classical and El Tor biotypes of V. cholerae. Subsequent chapters examine cholera outbreaks in detail, including possible sources of infection and molecular epidemiology on three different continents, the emergence of new clones through the bactericidal selection process of lytic cholera phages, the circulation and transmission of clones of the pathogen during outbreaks and novel approaches to modeling cholera outbreaks. A further contribution deals with the application of the genomic sciences to trace the spread of cholera epidemics and how this information can be used to control cholera outbreaks. The book closes with an analysis of the potential use of killed oral cholera vaccines to stop the spread of cholera outbreaks.
