Writing is one of four skills in English that have to be mastered by foreign language learners. In the English language, writing can be the most difficult skill because of how writers have to apply their ideas to produce good writing. Not only that, but to produce good writing we also have to have good grammar skills so that our writing will be correct.
Technology keeps evolving in all aspects of everyday life. Technology has been widely used in educational environments, guiding to improvement of language instruction and other areas of study. In today's education, technology is an excellent tool for facilitating the learning process in the age of digitization (Ahmadi, 2017). When talking about technology in teaching and learning, the term 'integration' is used. Technology integration refers to how a lecturer uses technology to improve the process of learning and instruction in the classroom, it is one method for improving students' skills and learning (Putri & Mirizon, 2022). Globalization has made learning a foreign language important in the twenty-first century. In line with Pandaya and Joshi (2022), English is one of the most commonly 'learned' foreign languages in the world. Effective ELT employs a variety of instructional strategies to help students develop the four language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Hence, teachers work to create an engaging and supportive learning environment in which students can actively participate in meaningful communication and language practice.
In the world of education that continues to develop, the search for effective teaching methods is never-ending. Technology is becoming more advanced, learning media and even methods are becoming more interesting. Even now, offline learning uses interesting learning media, namely multimodal learning. According to Kress and van Leeuwen (2006, 2020) multimodal learning is learning that relies on the use of various types of media and teaching tools such as: visual, auditory, reading/writing and practice. Multimodal learning is one that makes use of different media learning types, or what are known as semiotic modes, such as kinesthetic, visual, and auditory. Each media can be enhanced and complemented with this learning. Multimodal learning is frequently used in applications with a variety of technologies, including TV media, YouTube, Zoom, PowerPoint, learning apps downloaded on smartphones, and other items.
In addition, this book also aims to arouse students' interest in reading and increase vocabulary in English. In addition, this book is also expected to be able to help students improve their reading comprehension skills. For teachers, this book is expected to be useful additional reading materials. This book is certainly not perfect. Therefore, criticism and suggestions from various parties are very welcome in order to improve this book for the better.
Buku referensi ini ditulis berdasarkan kajian ilmiah dari berbagai sumber rujukan dan hasil penelitian longitudinal pada anak usia dini maupun penelitian terhadap paradigma baru pada kurikulum di berbagai lembaga PAUD.
