The Everlasting Spring: Beyond Olympus

The Everlasting Spring: Beyond Olympus is an epic trilogy in three heroic sagas spanning two thousand years in the tumultuous advance of Western Civilization. The Storyteller is an old man who understands and appreciates the heroes and heroines, saints and sinners who made world changing history, with love and self-sacrifice, enabling Western Culture to survive and produce the United States of America. When he was young and foolish, naive and swaggering with false bravado, the Storyteller frolicked in the good life and took it for granted, until a cold Christmas Eve when a lovely young woman broke his heart, and shattered his soul. The tragic death of beautiful romance brought darkness with ...

Boudicca

Boudicca By: Lee Sheffield Named for the British warrior queen of the first century, Boudicca is an advanced sailing vessel that is sent out by governmental authorities to fight modern-day piracy on the high seas. Full of adventures, intrigue, and thrilling battles, Lee Sheffield’s exciting new novel pays tribute to the “women and men that have given the ultimate in the line of duty as EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal)… These people exhibit the epitome of what it is to be in the field and the philosophy of risk so that the mission can proceed and that lives will be saved. These are the narratives of their demise. The reason the women of this dedication and the story are cited is because no one knows outside the service.”

Boudica (d. AD 60 or 61) was a queen of the Brittonic Iceni tribe of what is now known as East Anglia in England. She led an uprising of the tribes against the occupying forces of the Roman Empire. When her husband died she was to inherit the kingdom but the will was ignored. She was flogged and her daughters raped. In AD 60 or 61, while the Roman governor, Gaius Suetonius Paulinus, was leading a campaign on the island of Anglesey in north Wales, Boudica led the Iceni, along with the Trinovantes and others, in revolt. When the revolt was stopped Boadicea poisoned herself so that she could not be captured.

It is first-century Brittania as Christianity begins its rise in a pagan world. As a man and woman meet as enemies, they have only one thing in common: the Romans are dominating each of their respective homelands. Although Benjamin is rich in material terms, he has lost the spiritual comfort he once sought through Judaism. Now as he attempts to escape Roman tyranny, he is searching for a purpose he hopes will restore his desire to continue living in a world gone mad. Boudica is also doing her best to emerge from the darkness surrounding her plight. Now that her husband has died, the Queen...

Boudicca’s Rebellion AD 60–61

When the Romans occupied the southern half of Britain in AD 43, the Iceni tribe quickly allied themselves with the invaders. Having paid tribute to Rome, they continued to be ruled by their own kings. But 17 years later, when Prasutagus, the king of the Iceni, died, the Romans decided to incorporate his kingdom into the new province. When his widow Boudicca protested, she "was flogged and their daughters raped", sparking one of the most famous rebellions in history. This book tells how Boudicca raised her people and other tribes in revolt, overran the provincial towns of Camulodunum (Colchester), Londinium (London) and Verulamium (St Albans), destroyed the IX Legion, and nearly took control of the fledgling Roman province, before being finally brought to heel in a pitched battle at Mancetter.
