Zayra Yves is a modern-day mystic whose writings are evocative, innovative, and empathetic. She is a passion-filled force embracing both her human desires as well as the divine essence. Empty as Nirvana has been compiled from both new material and previously published poems that have been included in magazines, journals, audio recordings, radio broadcasts, and other print publications. These poems reveal the human suffering that cries from the abyss, the erotic body of light, the undeniable presence of the muse, the great hope for a more expansive state of compassion, and the rapture of total abandonment to love.
I IMAGINE A LION - Poems in the devotional visionary tradition of Blake, Rumi, Christopher Smart, McClure. Ecstatic recognitions from both within and without our heartfelt common cosmic consciousness. "In the forest of matter so tightly meshed you/can't see the weave/I imagine a lion./Sometimes it's a table, sometmes it's chairs./Lion eyes out of the dark./Lion purrs when silence descends."

?The transformation of V Corps from a traditional tank-heavy corps committed to a high intensity battle in central Europe to a lighter, more deployable reaction force simply based in central Europe is an exemplar of the changes that confronted the army at large to be sustained. This narrative outlines the major shifts in the operational context in which V Corps found itself after 1990 and discusses the major military operations in which the corps took part. Those operations gave the headquarters the essential "feedback" to adjust its organization and training to be more in synch with the requirements it faced. The study offers some tentative conclusions about the process of transformation of the Army in Europe, as seen from the perspective of one heavy, mechanized corps.
Brian Douthit's poetry has been compared to Wordsworth, Frost, Shelley, Byron and many others. In terms of art, it has been described as a "word-Picasso" or "sublime Monet." Readers often say they feel serene or even breathless after reading his pieces. Whatever the reaction, all seem to agree his poetry is beautiful and eloquent, and in a class of its own. You too may experience the addictive compulsion to read them over and over again and be lifted to a new dimension by his extraordinary grasp of language and by the amazing talent and artistry contained within these pages.
