This current volume of the series Women* Philosophers at Work. A Series of SWIP Austria reflects the wide spectrum of the philosophers' research work. 11 essays highlight the subject of the publication from different points of view. The targets and duties of the Society for Women* in Philosophy are as follows: the Society is a non-profit organization to support women* and LGBTIQ-people working in and committed to the study of philosophy in Austria. Its purpose is to advance equal treatment and gender justice for everyone in philosophy, both students and professionals, philosophers at all levels of academia, colleagues in other institutions and also in our society as a whole.

In this volume thirteen essays highlight the subject of human rights from different points of view. The guiding questions include the following: Can feminists and gender researchers ground their commitment to greater gender justice in human rights? Is there a single concept of human rights? Do human rights include individual rights or group rights? Are the demands of human rights addressed to institutions or to individuals? Is there an intrinsic moment of Eurocentrism within human rights? Are human rights a moral or legal measure, or somewhere in between? Who is recognized as a human being?
The volume presents theological and religious research that explores women's voices and experiences in the fields of migration, culture and (eco)peacebuilding with the goal to discuss complex and dynamic questions of women's active participation and engagement in these challenges, mainly from the perspective of Central European authors. The chapters address these matters in order to rethink and search for theological and religious responses to the inequalities, prejudices, and conflicts that arise from these crises and look for new ethical paths to mitigate them through interreligious dialogue and religious (eco)peacebuilding

What does it mean to be religious believers for people whose living conditions are defined by an increasingly secularized environment? Is the common distinction between faith and knowledge valid? The 21 essays cover approaches from various fields of the humanities. Some explore post-Kantian thoughts, discussing, i.a., American Pragmatism, M. Buber, M. Horkheimer, H. Putnam, J. Habermas, Ch. Taylor and variants of deconstruction, while other essays focus on ways in which the conflict between agnostics and seekers is addressed in US literary works, as in Fl. O’Connor, W. Percy, N. Hawthorne, J. Updike and in novels dealing with pandemics, for instance by L. Wright, E. M. Wiseman and R. Cook....
When people of different cultures and religious traditions are being constantly drawn closer together, interreligious dialogue becomes not only a strategy to understand the "Others," but also an attitude to deepen one's faith. Christian faith acknowledges other religious traditions as genuine "ways" and "channels" of salvation for their adherents and that religions have a place in God's universal plan of salvation for humankind. The plausibility of this assertion can be exemplified by the concept of "inclusive pluralism," a theological model developed by the Belgian-born Jesuit theologian Jacques Dupuis. This book expounds that concept and reflects on its implication for the Catholic Church's unwavering commitment to interreligious dialogue.
