Brunner/Ritz, Stimmt So!
Here is the first extensive documentation of Munich-based sculptor Johannes Brunner and composer Raimund Ritz's collaborative installations in public spaces, their sound and musical productions, and their videos and films.
Baptismal and Marriage Records, Rev. John Waldschmidt
Rev. Waldschmidt's entries, which pertain to the congregations of Cocalico (Swamp), Weiseichenland (formerly Sebastian Reicher's Church), Modecreek, and Zeltenreich, are arranged in four separate alphabetical groupings. The first part, baptismal records, gives the name of the child, parents' names, date of birth and date of baptism, and the names of sponsors. Marriages come next, and they state the name of the bride and groom, the date of the marriage, and, frequently, the name(s) of the parents. Each marriage is listed twice, alphabetically according to the surname of both the bride and groom. The third section of the book lists the various communion services performed by Rev. Waldschmidt, with the names of the communicants. Finally, a separate listing of brides and grooms from official Pennsylvania marriage licenses signed by the pastor between 1784-1786 concludes the volume.
Forever Faithful
This is the third in a series of genealogical studies of German families that emigrated to the Kingdom of Hungary in the early 18th century and settled in Somogy County. Kötcse is the oldest of the three major German Lutheran parishes that evolved and numerous families from Kötcse were instrumental in the establishment of the other two. The family histories of those who settled in the parish of Somogydöröcske are included in the volume: Dörnberg: In the Shadow of the Josefsberg; and those from the parish of Ecsény in From Toleration to Expulsion that both preceded this publication. In addition to the genealogical information the author provides the historical context and other information vital to an understanding of the lifestyle, traditions and ultimate destiny of their sojourn in Hungary and beyond.
Some Descendants of Joseph Bruner and Cathrina Elizabetha Thomas
Joseph Brunner (ca. 1680-ca. 1753) married Cathrina Elisabetha Thomas (ca. 168-?-1723) and immigrated from Klein Schifferstadt, Germany to Frederick, Maryland, passing through Lancaster County, Pennsylvania on their way. Descendants and relatives lived in Maryland, Kentucky, Illinois, South Dakota, Iowa, Ohio, Pennsylvania and elsewhere.
