L’altra pintura se centra en l'anàlisi des de diferents àmbits (econòmics, estètics, històrics, i socials) d'una determinada producció pictòrica pictòrica i del seu desenvolupament comercial sorgit en la dècada de 1950 en les comarques del sud del País Valencià, en concret de L'Alcoià i el Comtat. Un fenomen pictoricoindustrial d'una producció artística que elabora una pintura-simulacre (efecte simulador d'estils artístics predecessors) i que ara es troba en procés de desaparició degut, entre altres causes, a la deslocalització industrial d'aquest producte i al descens de la seua demanda. L'estudi de camp d'aquesta indústria artisticodecorativa serveix de base per a observar les relacions i convivències amb la creació plàstica contemporània, entesa com a obra d'art.
