The firearms produced at Harpers Ferry, the southern site for the federal government's arsenal-armory established in 1794, were used in the Lewis and Clark expedition, the War of 1812, the Mexican War, and in virtually all of the battles of the Civil War. This work is fully illustrated with photographs and drawings of all models of firearms produced at Harpers Ferry, and documented by weapons expert and genealogist Stuart Brown Jr.
The Civil War and Yadkin County, North Carolina
Located in the western piedmont of North Carolina, Yadkin County was hardly a hotbed of rebellion at the start of the Civil War. Many of the 1,200 men from Yadkin who served in the Confederate Army did so with distinction, but a number deserted. Some of these holed up in the Bond School House, and when the militia attempted to arrest them, four were killed and several others were wounded. This is a comprehensive accounting of how the county responded to the Civil War and the effect it had on Yadkin’s citizens, civilian and military alike.

After she persuades her mother that she is her future daughter and that time travel is possible, she still must convince Marilyn to travel ahead in time seventeen years to dive once again into Santa Monica Bay, hopefully changing fate in the process. Meanwhile as Marilyn and her future husband travel to 2068 to explore an underground city and search for a time machine's sketches, Jennie knows the secret to stopping the 1971 underwater disaster lies in the palm of her future mother's hand but only if she can safely transport Marilyn back to 1971 from 2068 before the Sentinels of The System hunt down and kill all three for their defiance.

The Apperson Family in America
Peter Apperson was born in New Kent County, Virginia, in 1718, the son of John Apperson. He married Frances Poindexter, ca. 1738. They had at least eight children, 1739-1759. Descendants listed, chiefly descendants of their son, William Apperson (1757-1826), a Revolutionary War soldier of Surry County, North Carolina, lived in North Carolina, Missouri, Kansas, Texas, Illinois and elsewhere.
