On September 11th, 2004, life turned upside down for Doc and Cindy Blackmore. They had just sent their youngest child off to college and were looking forward to their empty nest when Doc was injured in a bicycle accident while on a hunting trip in the Rocky Mountains, leaving him paralyzed from the chin down and dependent on a ventilator. This story is about the journey of faith that my husband and I encountered after he was injured in an accident that left him paralyzed from the chin down and completely ventilator dependent. He survived when it was against the odds. We spent the next five years sharing our story at churches of every denomination along with other venues. Included are the miracles and stories we witnessed on our journey. My prayer in sharing this story is that it serves two purposes. One, that it helps others who are traveling the tough road of paralysis and two, that it would strengthen the faith of anyone who takes the time to read it. I see God in everything that happens in my life and I know he has a plan ...

Samuel Guile was baptized in 1613 at Ilketshall, Suffolk County, England. He and his brother, John, immigrated to Massachusetts in 1636. He married Judith Davis in 1647 at Haverhill, Massachusetts and later died in 1683. Descendants lived in Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Ohio, New York, Vermont, Illinois, Oregon, Missouri, Ontario, and elsewhere.
