Le travail de passeur qu'Aragon a réalisé pour de nombreux textes étrangers est bien connu, qu'il les ait incorporés dans son écriture même, traduits, préfacés ou promus. À l’inverse, la manière dont ses textes ont à leur tour été reçus à l’étranger demeurait jusqu’à présent incertaine : de l’œuvre-monde à la mondialisation de l’œuvre, il y a donc un pas que Le rayonnement international d’Aragon se propose de franchir. Outre un retour sur le dialogue avec Maiakovski et Chagall dans Hourrah l’Oural, et une étude de la lecture du Guépard par Aragon, ce volume de la collection « Recherches croisées Aragon/ Elsa Triolet » permet de défricher la réception d’Aragon à l’échelle internationale, de l’Europe (Espagne, Grèce, Italie) au Moyen-Orient (Égypte) et aux Amériques (Argentine, États-Unis, Québec). Il présente aussi deux importants inédits : des dessins jusqu’alors inconnus du jeune Aragon et une correspondance entre Elsa Triolet et Ossip Brik au moment du Congrès de Kharkov.

The Reception of Robert Burns in Europe
Robert Burns (1759 –1796), Scotland's national poet and pioneer of the Romantic Movement, has been hugely influential across Europe and indeed throughout the world. Burns has been translated seven times as often as Byron, with 21 Norwegian translations alone recorded since 1990; he was translated into German before the end of his short life, and was of key importance in the vernacular politics of central and Eastern Europe in the nineteenth century. This collection of essays by leading international scholars and translators traces the cultural impact of Burns' work across Europe and includes bibliographies of major translations of his work in each country covered, as well as a publication history and timeline of his reception on the continent.

L'ouvrage, composé par l'équipe de recherche interdisciplinaire Elsa Triolet-Aragon (ERITA), réunit une dizaine d'études et une correspondance inédite sur l'écrivain. Une partie est dédiée à l'analyse du Paysan de Paris, alors qu'une autre, plus générale, rassemble des travaux liés à la production littéraire et à la vie de l'écrivain. La correspondance inédite - qui va jusqu'à la lettre de rupture - entre Max-Pol Fouchet, éditeur de la revue Fontaine à Alger, et Aragon, resté en France, est accompagnée de notes détaillées.
