This part-volume brings together all the texts adopted by the Parliamentary Assembly during the first part of the 2006 Ordinary Session (23-27 January 2006). The Assembly meets four times every year (January, April, June and October).The Assembly can adopt three different types of texts: opinions, recommendations and resolutions. Opinions are mostly expressed by the Assembly on questions put to it by the Committee of Ministers, such as the admission of new member states to the Council of Europe, but also on draft conventions, or the budget.
