Decolonial Feminisms, Power and Place
This book draws on participatory ethnographic research to understand how rural Colombian women work to dismantle the coloniality of power. It critically examines the ways in which colonial feminisms have homogenized the "category of woman,” ignoring the intersecting relationship of class, race, and gender, thereby excluding the voices of “subaltern women” and upholding existing power structures. Supplementing that analysis are testimonials from rural Colombian women who speak about their struggles for sovereignty and against territorial, sexual, and racialized violence enacted upon their land and their bodies. By documenting the stories of rural women and centering their voices, this book seeks to dismantle the coloniality of power and gender, and narrate and imagine decolonial feminist worlds. Scholars in gender studies, rural studies, and post-colonial studies will find this work of interest.
La paz desde abajo
Este trabajo desarrolla la relación que existe a lo largo de la historia de los movimientos sociales en Colombia con el conflicto armado y específicamente ante los acuerdos de paz de La Habana entre el gobierno colombiano y las Farc-ep. Las implicaciones del Acuerdo son analizadas desde la vida y obra de líderes sociales —coautores de esta investigación—, durante la historia y labor del movimiento feminista, indígena, afrodescendiente y lgbti en Colombia. Así, es posible reconstruir lo que implica pensar un derecho a la paz como derecho humano en la actualidad desde una perspectiva epistemológica desde abajo.
Psicología del testimonio infantil
La entrevista a niños y niñas ha sido un desafío para las ciencias sociales, especialmente para la psicología, sobre todo en los ámbitos jurídicos y forenses, espacios en los que se vela por el interés superior de proteger-los, al tiempo que se procura preservar la equidad en el sistema de justicia.Esta obra compila conocimientos básicos y empíricos relacionados con la psicología del testimonio infantil en el contexto colombiano, con especial énfasis en los hallazgos de investigaciones aplicadas a esta pobla-ción. Así, se constituye en un punto de partida para discutir los elementos constitutivos de la entrevista forense aplicada a niños y niñas, y desarrollar pro-cedimientos estandarizados que no solo alcancen el objetivo de aportar al esclarecimiento de la verdad en los procesos judiciales, sino que trasciendan para que los niños y las niñas, sus familias y la sociedad puedan, desde la ciencia, encontrar mecanismos que acompañen su proceso de reparación integral.
Human Rights and Intellectual Property
This book explores the interface between intellectual property and human rights law and policy. The relationship between these two fields has captured the attention of governments, policymakers, and activist communities in a diverse array of international and domestic political and judicial venues. These actors often raise human rights arguments as counterweights to the expansion of intellectual property in areas including freedom of expression, public health, education, privacy, agriculture, and the rights of indigenous peoples. At the same time, creators and owners of intellectual property are asserting a human rights justification for the expansion of legal protections. This book explores the legal, institutional, and political implications of these competing claims: by offering a framework for exploring the connections and divergences between these subjects; by identifying the pathways along which jurisprudence, policy, and political discourse are likely to evolve; and by serving as an educational resource for scholars, activists, and students.
The Anti-Stupidity Book

The Global Trajectories of Queerness
The Global Trajectories of Queerness interrogates the term “queer” by closely mapping what space the theorizing of same-sex sexualities and sexual politics in the non-West inhabits. From theoretical discussions around the epistemologies of such conceptualizations of space in the Global South, to specific ethnographies of same-sex culture, this collection hopes to forge a way of tracking the histories of race, class, caste, gender, and sexual orientation that form what is called the moment of globalization.
