This book was originally issues as The Seine Net: its Origin, Evolution and Use, but it was revised and enlarged in light of modern advances in seining. The author believes in the seine nets importance as a food–producing gear, in the prime quality of the fish it catches and in the claim that, in contrast to heavy trawling gear, it does not damge fishing grounds.
