Harvard Law School has been my dream ever since I can remember having dreams. My drive has always been one of the things my family has been proud of. Following in my father’s footsteps was the other. It didn’t take long for me to become just as successful as him. Perhaps even more. I opened my own practice and have a reputation for being ruthless with the law. Just as ruthless as my younger brother is in business. As he rose up in the world to become a billionaire, I rose up in the world of law. No one dared mess with the Deimos brothers. But I have a secret. A secret that could destroy the life I’ve built, and make me the butt of every joke. I have a very odd bond with wolves. I can understand them. I can command them to do what I want. I’ve had the power since I was a kid. But the strangest thing? My attraction to one. One that I can hear, but have never met. One that I feel such a strong sense of love for that being without her makes me want to refuse to get out of bed. When I feel like her life is in peril, I can’t take it anymore. I need to find her and won’t rest until I do. Consequences to my life be damned. Content Warning: - Taboo - Human/Wolf Mating

Mysterious Lands covers two kinds of encounters. First, encounters which actually occurred between Egypt and specific foreign lands, and second, those the Egyptians created by inventing imaginary lands. Some of the actual foreign lands are mysterious, in that we know of them only through Egyptian sources, both written and pictorial, and the actual locations of such lands remain unknown. These encounters led to reciprocal influences of varying intensity. The Egyptians also created imaginary lands (pseudo-geographic entities with distinctive inhabitants and cultures) in order to meet religious, intellectual and emotional needs. Scholars disagree, sometimes vehemently, about the locations and cultures of some important but geographically disputed actual lands. As for imaginary lands, they continually need to be re-explored as our understanding of Egyptian religion and literature deepens. Mysterious Lands provides a clear account of this subject and will be a stimulating read for scholars, students or the interested public.

David Connor

David Connor is a British interior and architectural designer, who, in the early 1980's, was one of a few pioneers who changed perceptions of what design could be. A graduate of the Royal College of Art, Connor began his career as an interior designer before branching out into architecture. His clients and collaborators include Vivienne Westwood, Anish Kapoor, Malcolm McLaren, and Adam Ant. This book examines Connor's most significant projects, assessing his idiosyncratic working methods and identifying his influences and professional liaisons with partners, collaborators, and clients. With beautiful illustrations and photographs, this book considers the impact of his interior design education on his architectural projects, as well as the link between his drawing techniques and the particularity of his finished work.

Over the Edge

After setting out on a nice drive up the canyon, Cari and her fianc, Michael, were forced over the edge on a roller-coaster ride down the mountain, which ended when their car slammed into a stand of trees. Cari slowly crawled back up the mountain and was shocked to hear vocal promptings of encouragement, even though Michaels lifeless body lay in the wrecked car. His one request was for her to find the person responsible for his death and promised to be at her side when needed. Why would someone want to kill them? Will Cari survive, and will she find justice for her fianc? Perhaps, after meeting the young man who found her lying on the side of the road or the detective who didnt believe her story. Possibly, reuniting with a former friend would make the difference. Then there was that nagging fear that her father would carry out his threat to kill her. She discovered that he had been released from prison and barely managed to hold herself together upon meeting him face to face. As Cari travels down this perilous road and faces more danger than she ever anticipated, is it possible for her to find true happiness?
