This Festschrift is dedicated to Prof. Dr. D.N. MacKenzie, University of Göttingen, on the occasion of his 65th birthday. Prof. MacKenzie is widely known as an eminent scholar in things Iranian, especially Kurdish, Pashto, Middle, Persian, Sogdian and Khwarezmian.
