Ideas y propuestas para el arte en España
La publicación, en forma de libro facsimilar, es fruto del proyecto del Ministerio de Cultura en el marco de Arco'2008, que dedicó un espacio a la expresión de los artistas españoles, con el fin de hacer llegar al público sus ideas y propuestas para el arte en España. Con esta intención, no se presentaron obras, sino documentos, aunque éstos se expusieron públicamente. El proceso seguido para configurar el proyecto consistió en solicitar a un conjunto de artistas consagrados, y a la vez, mediante una convocatoria pública abierta y la consiguiente selección de los materiales recibidos, a creadores desconocidos, la plasmación de sus ideas y propuestas para el arte en España en un soporte unificado, una hoja de papel de formato din A-4. Sobre ese formato homogéneo, se les dio plena libertad de expresión: pudieron participar con una palabra o un texto, con un trazo o un dibujo, con cualquier tipo de imagen fijada por medios analógicos o digitales. Cada uno de los artistas aportó un solo documento, con la única excepción de Luis Gordillo, Premio Velázquez 2007, a quien aportó dos.
