William Chipman (1781-1865) was the son of William Allen Chipman (1756-1845) and Ann Osborne (1756-1842). He married Mary McGowan Dickie (b. 1779) in 1803. Mary died in 1826. William married Eliza Ann Chipman (1808-1853) in 1827. They lived in Cornwallis Township, Nova Scotia.
