A prática desmenti-nos, e uma de duas: ou tornamo-nos cépticos ou desesperados, atitudes que correspondem ao estádio terminal de qualquer dogmatismo, ou então transformávamo-nos e passávamos a vida a dizer para nós mesmo: se os factos desmentem as teorias... tanto pior para os factos.
