Militia in the Revolution and married Trephina Johnson (descendant of Cornelius Johnson, b. 1650s in the Netherlands) and lived in Caroline Co. MD. Descendants moved to Beaufort Co. NC, Ross and Fayette Co. Ohio, Allen and Whitley Co. Indiana. Philadelphia Grayless married Curtis Carmean. Nancy Grayless married John Carmean. Descendants are now throughout the United States.
