About the Author: Dr. Mangala Subramanian obtained her MBBS degree from the Stanley Medical College, Chennai in 1981 and MD in Community Medicine from the M.S. Ramaiah Medical College Bengaluru in 1997. She has also undergone training in Hospital and Health Management at the Command Hospital, Bengaluru under Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). She is a FAIMER (Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education and Research) Fellow from G Seth Medical College, Mumbai.
