The Cambridge History of Latin American Literature
The Cambridge History of Latin American Literature is by far the most comprehensive work of its kind ever written. Aufklärung und Romantik in Lateinamerika
Im Kontext von Identität, Vergleich und Wechselwirkung zwischen lateinamerikanischem und europäischem Denken werden Grundzüge von Aufklärung und Romantik in Lateinamerika behandelt. Das ausgewertete Quellenmaterial umfasst den Zeitraum vom 17. bis zum 19. Jahrhundert und einen Ausblick auf das 20. Jahrhundert. Es wird u.a. der Frage nachgegangen, inwiefern die europäische Aufklärung und Romantik das lateinamerikanische Denken beeinflussten und welche Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede dabei zutage traten. Das Buch soll einen Beitrag leisten zur Erweiterung der eigenen kulturellen Horizonte und zur Vertiefung interkultureller Verständigungsprozesse. Es ist in einem leicht lesbaren Stil verfasst und wendet sich deshalb nicht nur an Fachphilosophen und Historiker, sondern soll eine breite Leserschaft ansprechen.
