He was likely the son of George Hutchison and Nancy (surname unknown). Elizabeth was born 15 December 1821 in Virginia and was the daughter of Benjamin Frazier and Lucy Luster. John and Elizabeth were married sometime prior to the year 1840. They lived in Attala Co. Mississippi and were the parents of ten known children. Descendants lived in Mississippi, Georgia, Tennessee and elsewhere.
