Clifford analysis represents one of the most remarkable fields of modern mathematics. With the recent finding that almost all classical linear partial differential equations of mathematical physics can be set in the context of Clifford analysis-and that they can be obtained without applying any physical laws-it appears that Clifford analysis itself can suggest new equations or new generalizations of classical equations that may have some physical content. Partial Differential Equations in Clifford Analysis considers-in a multidimensional space-elliptic, hyperbolic, and parabolic operators related to Helmholtz, Klein-Gordon, Maxwell, Dirac, and heat equations. The author addresses two kinds o...
Parabolic equations in this framework have been largely ignored and are the primary focus of this work.; This book will appeal to mathematicians and physicists in PDEs who are interested in boundary and initial value problems, and may be used as a supplementary text by graduate students.
This volume contains the proceedings of the Sixth International Conference on Complex Analysis and Dynamical Systems, held from May 19-24, 2013, in Nahariya, Israel, in honor of David Shoikhet's sixtieth birthday. The papers in this volume range over a wide variety of topics in Partial Differential Equations, Differential Geometry, and the Radon Transform. Taken together, the articles collected here provide the reader with a panorama of activity in partial differential equations and general relativity, drawn by a number of leading figures in the field. They testify to the continued vitality of the interplay between classical and modern analysis. The companion volume (Contemporary Mathematics, Volume 667) is devoted to complex analysis, quasiconformal mappings, and complex dynamics. This book is co-published with Bar-Ilan University (Ramat-Gan, Israel).
Clifford Algebras continues to be a fast-growing discipline, with ever-increasing applications in many scientific fields. This volume contains the lectures given at the Fourth Conference on Clifford Algebras and their Applications in Mathematical Physics, held at RWTH Aachen in May 1996. The papers represent an excellent survey of the newest developments around Clifford Analysis and its applications to theoretical physics. Audience: This book should appeal to physicists and mathematicians working in areas involving functions of complex variables, associative rings and algebras, integral transforms, operational calculus, partial differential equations, and the mathematics of physics.

A broad ranging collection of recent results in the subject covering areas from plane elasticity to second and higher order elliptic equations. The chapters may be read individually, providing a more accessible forum for the applications.
Contains papers from a January 1997 conference at the Technical University of Graz. Part I looks at generalized analytic functions, dealing not only with problems in the complex plane but also related problems in higher dimensions where several complex variables and Clifford Analysis are used. Part II is devoted to applications of partial differential equations to mechanics, with contributions on boundary elements and asymptotic methods, and hemivariational inequalities. A substantial number of papers in Part II deal with problems of ocean acoustics. No index. Annotation copyrighted by Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
